Ijeoma Obowu is Chief Operating Officer at Access Bank Mozambique. She has over 20 years' experience in banking and specializes in operations auditing, process management and digital transformation. At Access Bank Zambia, she held the role of Country Operations Officer, where she played a key role in integrating operations and IT during the merger with Cavmont Bank. Throughout her career, she has led regional operations at Access Bank Nigeria, achieving significant improvements in compliance and operational performance, as well as implementing innovations in processes and customer service.
Graduating in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt (Nigeria), Ijeoma Obowu has a solid academic background, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business Transformation from the Emeritus Institute of Management and an MBA in Finance from Bangor Business School, United Kingdom. She also completed the Leadership and Diversity for Innovation programme at the University of Pennsylvania and the Middle Management Programme at Wharton Business School.
