Agency Banking

A Banking Agent is a commercial establishment contracted by banks to provide financial products and services at their place of business. In addition to basic transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, these agents enable clients to pay bills and check balances. Agents are trained by Access Bank to serve their communities, especially in remote areas, providing access to financial services where traditional banking infrastructure is limited or nonexistent. They support financial inclusion and help reduce the bank’s operational costs. Mozambican regulations allow various types of businesses and institutions to act as banking agents, promoting a more convenient and personalized banking experience.

To become a banking agent, contact the customer service line or visit the nearest branch to check the eligibility criteria.
